Two Little Ewes is an independent pop-up bookstore built on a love of good books, creative expression, and a little quiet rebellion. We believe stories are meant to be discovered, discussed, challenged, and - most importantly - read.
Find us popping up at local markets and events with Blind Dates with a Banned Book, bookish gifts, handmade goods, and plenty of treasures for your reading life.
We’re starting small, dreaming big, and working toward our ultimate goal: a cozy brick-and-mortar bookstore where every black sheep has a place to belong.

About Us
Two best friends. Two black sheep. One shared love of books.
Our favorite throwback for some giggles…
Two Little Ewes was created by two women, Steph & Janay, who have been best friends since high school (we won’t admit to how long ago that was!) and, for as long as we can remember, have both felt a little like the black sheep in the room. We learned early on that being different isn’t necessarily a bad thing - and that some of the best stories belong to the people who don’t quite fit the mold.
Books have always given us a place to escape, explore new worlds, see life through someone else’s eyes, and sometimes find the words for things we didn’t know how to say ourselves. Our shared love of literature eventually grew into a dream: creating a bookstore that celebrates curiosity, individuality, and the freedom to read.
That mission is especially important when it comes to banned and challenged books. We believe readers should have the opportunity to encounter different stories, perspectives, experiences, and ideas to decide for themselves what they think. Keeping these books accessible and in the hands of the public is at the heart of what we hope to do.
We’re beginning our story with pop-up shops at markets, fairs, and community events, offering banned and challenged books, Blind Dates with a Book, bookish goods, and other treasures for fellow readers. Someday, we hope those pop-ups grow into a brick-and-mortar bookstore of our own: a cozy, welcoming place for readers, dreamers, questioners, and black sheep of every kind.
Until then, we’ll keep doing what we’ve always done together: reading good books, questioning the status quo, and being perfectly comfortable standing a little outside the flock.
